Opportunities are now closed for the 2022/2023 Mentor Program. Check back in Summer 2023 for more info on next year’s program!
ULI Mentor Program: Mentee Opportunity Link (Mentees are Young Leaders, under age 35.)
ULI Mentor Program: Mentor Opportunity Link (Most mentors are 35 or older.)
ULI Nashville is now launching a new year of its successful member-only Mentor Program! The program is structured as a one-on-one Mentor/Mentee experience and was developed by the Young Leader Mentor Committee based on local priorities and goals, as well as on successful examples of other ULI Mentor programs. This program is a meaningful asset to the District Council and members, helping shape future industry leaders and bringing value to Mentors as well!
The Mentor Program is thoughtfully conceived and implemented to ensure a most valuable experience for all involved. Details of the program include a detailed participant questionnaire, thoughtful and meticulous ‘pairing’ process, non-disclosure guarantees, regular assessments and feedback, and opportunities for networking among all participants in the program. The ULI Nashville Mentor Program has grown to be a stand-out opportunity for ULI Nashville members.
Remember: all participants must be ULI members. Most mentors are 35 or older. Mentees are Young Leaders, under age 35. There is a $40 fee for Mentees ONLY to participate. Email [email protected] for more information.
To prospective Mentors: Over the years we’ve learned that sometimes prospective Mentors don’t think they have enough experience or knowledge to share as a mentor. However, every year that is proven to not be the case at all and rewarding relationships are formed. If you are considering being a mentor but have questions or reservations, please let us know. We are happy to answer your questions as well as connect you with a previous mentor, if that will be helpful.
From past participants:
“The program has allowed me to build my network and to gain insights into other industries. And in our 1-on-1 meetings everything is on the table: professional development, interactions with senior staff, personal milestones (babies, moves). It’s fun.” – JF (Mentor)
“I have experienced the Mentor/Mentee program both as a Mentor and Mentee, and it has been a rewarding experience. This serves as a great platform to leverage relationships across job functions and generations. the result is a lasting relationship that is mutually beneficial to both Mentor/Mentee.” – BB (Mentor, former Mentee)
“Meeting with my Mentor has been one of the best experiences I’ve had professionally. I couldn’t be more grateful for my time spent with her and the wisdom she has given me as I decide how I want to spend my life.” – HB (Mentee)
