History
History of the Excellence in Development Award in Nashville
An Excellence in Development Award has been presented in Nashville since 1990 by a group of organizations representing the real estate and design community. These awards were given to encourage quality development in Middle Tennessee and to acknowledge development leaders who contributed to excellence in our community. New in our community since 2008, ULI Nashville now carries on this tradition, merging the history of these awards with the missions and values of The Urban Land Institute.
For decades, ULI has set the standard in recognizing outstanding real estate development projects and visionaries in urban development. ULI awards programs are highly selective and prestigious. Winners and finalists benefit from wide recognition among influential leaders in real estate and urban development- related fields.
ULI Nashville joins the prestigious group of ULI awards by first hosting its ULI Nashville Excellence in Development Awards in May 2009. This award program celebrates the creativity and vision in land use and real estate development, which reflects exemplary design, sustainability, and commitment to community, among other criteria. The Awards entries will be judged on criteria that support ULI’s commitment to best practices in the use of land, and leadership in creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwide.
The mission of ULI Nashville’s Excellence in Development Awards is to encourage, education and reinforce these examples of excellence in our communities.
