About the Speaker:Kim Hawkins is a founding Principal of Hawkins Partners, Inc. (HPI), a landscape architecture and planning firm. Kim’s commitment is to cultivate community through thoughtful, informed design that enhances the human experience. She holds a degree in landscape architecture from Louisiana State University.
Kim has been an active part of the community throughout her career. Notably, Kim was the founding president of the Nashville Civic Design Center in 2000 and has served on numerous boards and commissions, including as past chair of ULI Nashville Kim has been named as a top 100 Power Leader in Nashville for several years.
Hawkins Partners, Inc. has extensive and award-winning experience in green infrastructure and sustainable site planning and design in the southeast region, including Riverfront Park and Ascend Amphitheater, the Nashville Yards development, Fifth and Broad mixed use development, Huntsville’s MidCity Amphitheater, and the Bonnaroo Master Plan. HPI led the Metro Nashville Parks and Greenways Master Plan and was a team member for Downtown Master Plans for Nashville’s SoBro, Greenville, South Carolina and Huntsville, Alabama.
About Lunch with a Leader Series:
Lunch with a Leader offers informal lunch discussions that provide NEXT members with the opportunity for a small-group discussion with key leaders from Nashville. Past speakers have included Charles Robert Bone, President/CEO of Bone McAllester Norton PLLC, Courtney Ross, Chief Economic Development Officer, Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, Tony Giarratanna, President, Giarratanna, LLC, and the Goldberg Brothers of Strategic Hospitality.
