    How Sports-Anchored Developments Can Promote
Diversity, Equity, and Economic Development in Communities

Have you heard there’s a movement supporting an expansion of Major League Baseball to Nashville? ULI Nashville’s mid-career NEXT members are hosting this opportunity to learn more about what is driving this initiative, project details, what it might mean for our city, and where it stands in the planning process.

Attendees will hear about Music City Baseball’s vision for a mixed-use entertainment district anchored by the proposed baseball stadium and their plans to honor the Nashville Stars, the Negro League baseball team that once played in Nashville. Speakers will discuss how Diversity/ Equity/ Inclusion (DEI) priorities have been integrated into the project since its inception.

Project details, including site selection, funding, and a national perspective on how projects like this one can transform a city, will be shared before the conversation is open to Q & A.

*With recent changes to CDC recommendations and state and local policy, please follow the guidance and wear a mask if you are not yet vaccinated or are more comfortable wearing one.
