Designer I

Designer I

Danielian Associates, an award‐winning global architecture and planning firm, is looking for a Designer I to join their team in Nashville, TN. The firm embraces work‐life balance with nurturing work environment and collaborative team culture. As a Designer I, you will work with architecture and planning studios with the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Input schematic design sketches in CAD or Revit developing plans, elevations, and sections efficiently
  • Assist with all stages of design including hand sketch/drafting and computer-aided presentation graphics
  • Proficient at developing schematic design and design development documents using current company design and CAD standards
  • Code Research, Code Analysis, Site Analysis, Product Research
  • Provide leadership and coordination to project teams and prioritize and delegate work as needed
  • Produce accurate and thorough drawings based on samples/redlines
  • Effective time management by regularly reporting the status of task completion
  • Fully understand the task given and ask clarifying questions in a timely manner
  • Actively contribute to meeting project budget, schedule, and deadlines

Requirements

  • Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other 3D modeling and rendering programs
  • Proficient in graphic and presentation programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, Prezi, and PowerPoint
  • Actively pursue acquiring the knowledge and experience required in preparation for architectural licensure
  • Excellent graphic, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient at hand sketch and computer program knowledge to produce presentation graphics and documents
  • Basic understanding of building materials and construction details
  • Basic understanding of architectural design process from concept to completion and ability to demonstrate in real projects
  • Basic understanding of building construction systems including SMEP
  • Recent architectural school graduate or 4-5 years of equivalent school/work experience under a Licensed Architect
