    Join the Civic Leadership Forum for an engaging virtual Power Hour! In this insightful program, planning leaders from the cities of Clarksville, Franklin, and Nolensville, Tennessee, will come together to share their expertise and discuss the unique challenges and successes that come with managing both urban and suburban growth.

    As our region's economy continues to become more interconnected, we will delve into how municipalities can work collaboratively to address a variety of pressing issues. Topics will include infrastructure development, innovative solutions for housing affordability, effective land use planning, and transportation systems that support a growing population. Additionally, we'll explore how these cities can leverage their individual strengths to ensure sustainable growth and a high quality of life for all residents.

    Brad Baumgartner

    Planning Director, Town of Nolensville

    Brad Baumgartner serves as the Planning Director for the Town of Nolensville. Prior to his role at the Town of Nolensville, Brad assisted communities as a consultant for local firms, was employed in the land acquisition field, and has prior local government experience at both, Greater Nashville Regional Council and the City of Franklin. Brad’s varied professional background allows him to find solutions to complex issues. Brad is a native Nashvillian having grown up in Brentwood and is thrilled to continue in helping continue to have Middle Tennessee a vibrant and successful area. Brad currently resides in Williamson County with his wife and young son.

    Jeffrey Tyndall

    Director, Clarksville Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission

    Mr. Jeff Tyndall brings over 25 years of diverse planning experience across both the public and private sectors, including the past 6 years leading the Clarksville Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission during the county's largest population growth. He is a proud graduate of Rutgers University with a Master’s in City and Regional Planning along with dual undergraduate degrees in Geography and Urban Studies. He is a Certified Planner and APA Member. His extensive career started at the County level in New Jersey, followed by almost a decade in the private sector working with military communities around the country. At home, Jeff is married with six children—five boys and one girl, ranging from 4 to 15 years old. As he puts it, 'Things are busy at work AND at home.'

    Emily Wright

    Director of Planning and Sustainability, City of Franklin, TN

    Emily Hunter Wright, AICP, is the Director of Planning and Sustainability for the City of Franklin. She has been with the City of Franklin for 17 years, where she previously held the roles of Principal Planner in the Current Planning Division and Long Range Planning Supervisor. Prior to joining the City of Franklin staff, Emily was a Research Associate with the Tennessee Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations (TACIR). Emily received her undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Economics from Birmingham-Southern College and obtained a Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning from the University of Memphis. While in Memphis, Emily was employed by the Shelby County Department of Housing, the Memphis and Shelby County Office of Economic Development, and the Regional Economic Development Center.
