wli-commanderKEYNOTE SPEAKER: Marjorie K. Eastman
M.B.A, M.A.
Veteran (Iraq & Afghanistan)

For this inaugural ULI Nashville Women in Leadership Initiative program, we are fortunate to host MARJORIE K. EASTMAN to share lessons on leadership learned on the battlefield and honed in the intelligence service that are transferable to your professional development and business success.

Marjorie served as a U.S. Army intelligence officer and commander. Her ten years of post-9/11 military service included two combat deployments:
• Operation Iraqi Freedom, and;
• in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

Some of her recognitions include:
• Ranked the number one military intelligence company commander in Eastern Afghanistan for the deployment cycle of 2009–2010;
• Awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service as a combat commander, and;
• Received the Combat Action Badge.

The compelling journey of Eastman’s time in uniform culminates in her final assignment, when she was responsible for the lives of over 100 troops—men and women— scattered throughout Eastern Afghanistan.

From her experiences, Eastman will show the best path to success. She offers lessons on life, leadership, service, and the way for every person to find a role in them.

This WLI program promises to offer ULI Nashville men and women members a special opportunity to hear from a dynamic leader on how we can apply her remarkable lessons to our own leadership and professional growth.
