Understanding, Managing and Celebrating Generational Differences Across Your Organization
A Facilitated Workshop by the Center for Executive Education at Belmont University
The ULI Nashville Women’s Leadership Initiative presents a facilitated workshop on how to understand, manage and celebrate generational differences across your organization. This training, led by Melanie Adams , Executive Director of the Center for Executive Education at Belmont University, will benefit professional development and improve leadership skills across your organization.
The scope of the hour-workshop will focus on increased awareness, appreciation for and improvement action plans on:
- The Face of the Multi-Generational Workplace: Recognize the differences in the general value sets of each generation in the workplace: the Matures, the Baby Boomers, Generation X, The Millennials, and Generation Z.
- Leading through the Generations: Learn about the often-seen assets and liabilities of each generation as it relates to organizational life: communication styles, focus and motivation, and technology preferences.
- Engaging the Generations: Discuss best practices for engaging individuals across generational lines. Areas of focus will include: methods of communication and information-sharing, opportunities for cross-generational mentoring, determining how to “match” your internal or external customer, and creating unique options that fit the profile of each set of employees.
